Dead Cells mobile is coming this summer

Now the developer Motion Twin has partnered with mobile games publisher Playdigious to port the acclaimed roguelike metroidvania to iOS devices, iPhones and iPads, by Summer 2019. While it's uncertain if the listing was made in error or not, what's sure now is that the game is coming to the platform soon. According to a press release, the game will cost €9.99 and will not have ads or free-to-play mechanics. The mobile port will feature two modes, "Original" and "Auto-Hit". Dead Cells is a hard game that demands situational awareness and quick reactions - in other words, it's the kind of experience that's tricky to replicate with touchscreen controls.

If you somehow missed out on Dead Cells the first time around, provided it controls well, there's no excuse not to pick it up once it arrives on mobile. Players will have to make their way through procedurally generated worlds with different environments, fighting against all sorts of enemies inhabiting those areas.

"Dead Cells" continues to receive mostly positive reviews on Steam. The game will be sold for $11 Dollars and there will be no ads or in-game transactions. The studio worked on the recent edition of Weather Factory's Cultist Simulator, and it was announced last week that they are porting Lizardcube's stunning Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap to iOS and Android later this month.
