Ghost Recon: Breakpoint announcement leaked

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint announcement leaked

Judging from the small snippets of footage shown to us at a Ghost Recon Breakpoint press event, these Ghost Recon raids will be a dramatic departure from the landscape of Auroa.

According to Ubisoft, Ghost Recon Breakpoint can be played solo or in four-player co-op. A mysterious and hostile location, Auroa is also home to Skell Technology, a tech giant with advanced facilities nestled amid the island's untamed, natural surroundings. Auroa is Skell's base, but with the island going dark, the Ghosts are sent in.

Players will also be able to choose among thousands of customization combinations to create their flawless Ghost, and keep their character and progression through the game, in both the main campaign and Player-versus-Player (PvP), available at launch. The game's central antagonist will be Wildlands' Cole D. Walker, portrayed by The Punisher's Jon Bernthal, who's betrayed his team and gone off the grid.

The studio promises "thousands of customization combinations" to make a Ghost to your liking. Story should also be emphasized throughout the open-ended shooter, complete with live service elements that're monetized over time and a season pass to bolster post-launch expansions. To begin with, Ubisoft promises four character classes to choose from with more in the months that follow.

You can see both the reveal trailer and gameplay demo down below.

Ubisoft published a almost 14-minute-long gameplay walkthrough alongside the announcement trailer. The game will be available from October 4th 2019 on Windows PC via UPLAY and the Epic Games Store.
