Indians ace Corey Kluber suffers right ulna fracture

The Indians later announced that Kluber suffered a right forearm contusion. He was pulled from the game in the fifth inning with an apparent arm injury, which the team officially described as a non-displaced fracture of the right ulna. He allowed one run on Perez's third homer in the third inning.

"Tito kept asking him, 'How do you feel?' and he was just numb", Perez said.

Kluber will likely go on the injured list joining fellow Indians starter Mike Clevinger, who is on the 60-day IL with a back injury. "I saw him holding his arm". It is two games back of the Twins, who defeated the Astros, 6-2, on Wednesday. Herrera also made a diving catch to rob Carlos Gonzalez of a hit. He led the league in innings pitched a year ago and is obviously a massive loss for the Indians.

Marlins: RHP José Ureña (1-4, 5.08 ERA) is scheduled to start Friday in the opener of a three-game series against Atlanta.

Indians pitcher Corey Kluber was forced to leave Wednesday night's start against the Marlins in the fifth inning after taking a 102 MPH Brian Anderson line drive off of his pitching elbow. Alfaro was hit by a pitch to start the rally, advanced to second when Berti walked and scored on Herrera's liner for a 4-1 lead.
