Kanye Opens Up About His Mother in Letterman Interview

Naturally, it's Kanye West's support for Donald Trump - and West's unwillingness to take responsibility for what that entails - that sends things awry, according to The Daily Beast's review.

In a preview of the episode obtained by The Daily Beast on Thursday (May 23), Yeezy reveals some interesting details about his past issues with Drake.

United States rapper Kanye West drew a lot of attention to himself previous year over his endorsement of Donald Trump, among other things.

The musician also said that Trump supporters are "treated like enemies of America because that's what they felt".

"Have you ever been beat up in your high school for wearing the wrong hat?" asked West during the tense back-and-forth. Exclaimed West, "Liberals bully people who are Trump supporters!"

While we'll have to wait until the full interview airs at the end of this month, that's enough to get us willing to watch the second it's loaded onto Netflix. West has been photographed wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and has also voiced his appreciation of conservative voices such as political commentator Candace Owens. She said that it kind of feels like Takashi Murakami and then I was like I don't want it. The rapper spoke in favour of the measure during a visit to the White House in October 2018, when he directly spoke to the USA president.

"Did you vote for Trump?". I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does.

West support of Trump raised eyebrows as the rapper and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, had previously attended fundraisers in support of Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 election. "And we have the right to independent thought", West tweeted in April 2018. "One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can't tell me what to do because I'm black". "That's what we do, we tell our story and then people relate to that story".
