What must be done to win a league title against Guardiola?

The Reds beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 on the final day, but couldn't rely on Brighton to hold Manchester City, who won 4-1 at the Amex Stadium. As for Cardiff, they play Manchester United (USA), who just happen to be led by former Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The report says that an investigation is underway and the expectation is that a recommendation will be made to ban the team from UCL, possibly for the 2020-21 season, which would be a huge blow to a club that just won back-to-back Premier League titles and has the Champions League as its main objective each season.

Liverpool finished with 97 points, the highest points tally of any team to finish runners-up in English top-flight history, and lost only one league game all season - at City in January.

"We're in the final now and we need to take that one step further that we didn't take last season", Robertson said, referring to Liverpool's defeat by Real Madrid in last season's Champions League final.

Pep Guardiola is seeking out PSG superstar Neymar as Sergio Aguero's replacement at Manchester City, despite the Citizens claiming their second Premier League title in as many years.

Let us know in the comments.

Despite missing out on the title, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp said that finishing second in the league was "only the first step".

It's nearly as if Liverpool haven't been to two Champions League finals in two years and haven't just earned 97 points in a single Premier League season. Sure, Liverpool and Manchester City were miles ahead of everyone else in the league but there were some highlights elsewhere. While all the attention will be focused on matches occurring in Anfield and Falmer, we highly recommend scanning the entire landscape, because Sunday is going to be a blast. "We obviously didn't win the league but we'll be back next year and we've got a lot of motivation to win the league".

They haven't quite been able to replicate their scintillating goalscoring exploits from last term in the league, but Guardiola's side have been even more clinical in domestic cup competitions, as well as Europe.
