WoW Classic Is Releasing Later This Summer in August

WoW Classic will also be releasing content in phases, following the original order of content releases. The classic version will be available to all paying World of Warcraft players.

Open world unsanctioned PvP, no specializations, a different loot system and many other features that have been changed into what they are nowadays gave shape to a very different World of Warcraft that still was quite attractive back in the day, especially compared to other MMORPGs like Everquest, that definitely needed even a more significant time investment than Blizzard's title.

If you have opted in to beta testing World of Warcraft Classic via your account management page, you may want to check the BattleNet launcher to see if you have been selected. The official launch of WoW Classic will happen at 3:00 pm PDT August 26 in the Americas.

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic, the new version of their most famous MMO that takes players back to simpler times before the many, many expansion packs, will be released on August 27.

If you ever played modern World of Warcraft you know that there's an incredible demand for the classic experience.

WoW Classic is included for all subscribers at no cost, and those with an active sub can opt-in to the invite-only closed beta, scheduled for May 15. Those who are successful will receive the Obsidian Worldbreaker mount, created to resemble Deathwing the Destroyer. It includes a Onyxia pin, map of Azeroth mouse pad, art prints, special anniversary mounts, and a large black-and-gold statue of Ragnaros the Firelord. And it added: "Later this year, Blizzard will be rolling out a series of in-game activities in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth in celebration of the game's 15th anniversary, culminating in a 25-player raid (accessible through Raid Finder) that will pit players against some of the most iconic bosses from throughout the games history".

The Collector's Edition looks like it will be available here in Australia on October 9, 2019 and for players wanting to get their hands on the limited-edition items, JB HI-FI is now taking pre-orders for the bundle at AUD$144 - so get in quick.
