Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter hacked with photo of Pakistani PM Imran Khan

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter account was hacked, and his profile picture replaced with that of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday night.

Following the cyber attack, Mumbai Police PRO said, "We have informed our cyber unit and Maharashtra Cyber about the hacked Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan".

The hackers pinned a tweet saying "We condemn the behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers".

Amitabh Bachchan is an avid social media user and keeps his fans updated with poems, latest incidents and events of his life. He's also pretty popular on Twitter and in fact one of the most followed Indian celebrities in India on Twitter. The hackers also decided to make some changes to Amitabh Bachchan's bio and edited it to say: Actor ... well at least some are STILL saying so! "Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid".


The hacker also posted images of Imran Khan with the caption: "Love Imran Khan".

The Twitter handle removed the tweet and photos with 30 minutes and later Bachchan's account was restored on the micro-blogging website. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Armny +++, " the first tweet read. When contacted by us, the official spokesperson of the actor confirmed the development, saying that this was indeed a cyber attack and they are trying to solve the issue.

Mumbai Police confirmed that the matter is being investigated by the cyber police.

They started off by asking for "support" and sharing an Instagram link which seems to direct to a profile belonging to the hackers.
