An official release date wasn't nailed down for Bleeding Edge at E3 2019, but fans will actually have the chance to try it out later this month.

A technical alpha will begin on June 27, apparently. One of those studios was Ninja Theory, the developer behind Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and DmC: Devil May Cry.

According to a Neogaf discussion, Ninja Theory trademarked "Bleeding Edge" way back in December 2018.

Ninja Theory's first project post its Microsoft acquisition, Bleeding Edge, has been leaked ahead of its supposed announcement at E3 which stars next week.

With a focus on insane, colourful and distinctive characters, it certainly looks much lighter in tone than Hellblade, and you can start playing sooner than you may think. It's pretty low quality and an off-screen recording so the direct feed version will definitely paint a better picture of what Bleeding Edge looks like. The footage was pulled, but not before it could be captured and reuploaded by sites like Polygon. For those unfamiliar with the game, Bleeding Edge is a 4v4 online multiplayer game starring a cast of unique characters that brings to mind titles like Overwatch.

More concretely, it looks like this title has been in development for a very long time. Sign-ups for the alpha will likely go live after the game is officially announced during Microsoft's press conference on Sunday.

Some of the heroes from the leaked Bleeding Edge trailer. It's a pretty strong suggestion that Bleeding Edge is the company's next game and that the leak is accurate.
