35, was convicted on Monday of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman in Encinitas last May by a jury in Southern California.

A 77-year-old woman who went to the same gym as Winslow in the beach community of Carlsbad said he committed lewd acts in front of her, including touching himself, while Winslow was free on $2 million bail in February.

After Shockey left for the NFL, Winslow became the Hurricanes' starting tight end in 2002 and set a school record for the position with 57 receptions for 726 yards and eight touchdowns. He was hit with 12 charges total, and the jury returned a verdict on four of them late Monday.

A 2007 Pro Bowler, Winslow the son of Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow Sr. The jury found him guilty on the charge of touching himself in front of the woman at the gym, but not guilty of committing a lewd act while in the facility's hot tub in front of the same woman who said it happened on a different occasion.

Jurors were deadlocked on the eight other counts Winslow faces and continue to deliberate, according to the courtroom footage.

All five women, including a homeless female, a hitchhiker and an immigrant who speaks limited English, testified during the trial that began May 20.

A 54-year-old hitchhiker accused Winslow of raping her in his Hummer last year.

The indecent exposure incident involved a 58-year-old woman who was gardening in her front yard.

"This defendant is motivated by pure, unadulterated depravity for his own sexual purposes", Deputy District Attorney Dan Owens told the jury during closing arguments.

The jury found Winslow guilty of rape by force against the victim identified as Jane Doe No. 2. A third woman came forward alleging that Winslow raped her while she was unconscious some 15 years ago.

Defense lawyers argued during the trial that all instances of sex were consensual, and even used a defense that he repeatedly cheated on his wife throughout their marriage.

"He victimised five women, five separate women who knew nothing of each other".

But prosecutor Dan Owens said evidence includes Global Positioning System locations showing Winslow's presence where victims say they encountered him and DNA tests showing traces of his semen on blood-stained trousers from one victim.

Winslow was facing 12 felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from incidents with three women.
