Manchester United agree deal with Swansea City for Daniel James

For the forward positions, Manchester United have already agreed on a deal to sign Welsh global player Daniel James from English Championship club Swansea City this summer.

Twice-capped James, who nearly joined Leeds United in January, is in Ryan Giggs' squad for Wales' upcoming Euro 2020 qualifying matches.

Ryan Giggs has backed Daniel James to thrive at Manchester United and produce a starring role for Wales against Croatia today.

The deal is expected to go through when Fifa's global transfer window opens next week.

"If it happens, United are getting an exciting player that I know Man United fans will get behind and enjoy watching", Giggs said. "They were renowned for being extremely positive under Graham Potter, who's now obviously moved to Brighton to change their style".

Yet Castles isn't convinced he is up to United's standard, citing Brighton's recent interest in the player as a reason why he could be out of his depth at Old Trafford.

"I find it a surprising move".

"The Premier League club has also agreed personal terms with James, 21, following a successful medical at Old Trafford".

"But guess what? Manchester United don't need guys for the future right now".

"It's fantastic for everyone - for Dan, for Manchester United and a good deal for Swansea City as well".

James will become the first signing of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era, as the Premier League side prepare for huge overhaul this summer following a dismal season which saw them finish in sixth, with the Norwegian keen to add young British talent to his ranks.

You've probably all seen it by now.
