Microsoft Announces New Xbox App for Windows 10

Microsoft Announces New Xbox App for Windows 10

Developed by Microsoft Game Studios, this new par in the Flight Simulator series looks great and you can find below its E3 2019 4K trailer. We don't expect a full reveal until 2020, but now that Sony has let the cat out of the bag when it comes to the next PlayStation console, it would be surprising if Microsoft didn't follow suit on stage today.

Microsoft are returning to simulate flight with a game they call Microsoft Flight Simulator, their first serious new fly 'em up since 2006.

The Xbox One X will no longer be the most powerful console.

The console will be built around an AMD processor using Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA architecture, with support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

We've still got a ways to go before Project Scarlett is on shelves, which explains why we aren't learning too much today. That will coincide with the release of Halo Infinite. The company has been removing a bunch of social features from the current Xbox app as it's introducing a new Xbox app that will be the hub for things like Xbox Game Pass and the store.

We should also see a bunch of first-party Xbox One titles, including Halo Infinite, which Microsoft slyly revealed at E3 past year without actually showing off any gameplay. Just like Project Scarlett, Halo Infinite is still a year-and-a-half out, so there's plenty of time for Microsoft to fill us in.

This story is still developing and will be updated soon, as PCGamesN works to bring you the fastest, but also the most thorough, E3 2019 conference coverage.
