New 'Frozen 2' trailer is shockingly dark and scary

The first full trailer for Disney's "Frozen 2" dropped Tuesday morning, and from this early glimpse of the film it appears that the followup to the quaint story of sisters defying the odds - and belting ballads - is more of a "Lord of the Rings"-like epic".

Check out our YouTube Channel for reviews, news, information and more! . And according to those all-knowing trolls, the secret to fixing the problem lies in Elsa's past.

"Elsa, the past is not what it really seems - you must find the truth", he says. Go North, across the enchanted land and into the unknown.

The new poster sees the two women sans the other characters like Olaf, Kristoff and Sven walking through the dark woods. The teaser showed us Elsa attempting to make her way across the sea using her icy powers.

"I won't let anything happen to her", Anna responds. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a risky but remarkable journey.

The official synopsis for the new movie reads: "Why was Elsa born with magical powers?"

"Now we must hope, they are enough", he adds. After falling through the water on the stormy night, she's a little scared underwater by a water horse (which you can see below) before bursting above the water to catch her breath. That artwork features Anna and Elsa standing back-to-back in a foggy and gloomy forest, with the sisters both looking ready to take on whatever's coming their way. Lee, who also penned the book for the hit Frozen musical, wrote the sequel with screenwriter Allison Schroeder. The film will also feature new songs from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
