Romelu Lukaku: Manchester United striker on Antonio Conte and transfer

Asked after Belgium's 3-0 Euro 2020 qualifying victory over Scotland, whether he expected a hectic summer, Lukaku replied: "Yes, I think so".

According to ESPN, the former Chelsea boss wanted him during his time at the Blues and has informed the club's hierarchy to secure his services to lead the side the main target-man, crucial for his tactical philosophy.

"And then you have Maurizio Sarri going to Juventus and [Carlo] Ancelotti at Napoli".

Lukaku scored 27 goals across all competition in his debut season at United after joining from Everton in 2017.

The 26-year-old has spoken of his love for Serie A and with the likes of AC Milan and Inter Milan getting their acts together in recent seasons, he could end up in Italy.

Lukaku wouldn't be the first Belgium star to leave the Premier League this summer with Eden Hazard having joined Real Madrid from Chelsea.

TMW explain Manchester United have offered a two year contract to the youngster, which would take him through to 2021 and the age of 21.

Lukaku's incredible goalscoring record with his country has continued, leading many to feel his problems are simply with United.

"I know what I'll do, but won't say it".

"And if something happens, the teams and my agent have to do the talking". I just make my decision and stay out of it'.

According to Metro report, the Belgian forward, who lost his starting spot to Marcus Rashford after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho has been informed he's surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

"It's good that Conte went to Inter, for me he is the best coach in the world", Lukaku said. 'I lost my place and haven't played much.

"I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now".

"But that is a phase in my career and it will help me for the next step". We'll see. Do I expect a busy summer?
