ASAP Rocky Appeals Detention to Sweden’s Supreme Court

Yesterday, TMZ issued a disturbing report on the facilities where Rocky is being held.

A$AP Rocky's living conditions in his Swedish jail cell are reportedly horrific.

Meyers, 30, survived on an apple a day during the first five days of his incarceration because food in the facility is inedible and the water is unclean, TMZ reports.

A$AP Rocky's bail was not approved and has been placed in solitary detention in Sweden resulting from a dispute with the hip-hop artist's team and a man who was following him.

Currently, ASAP Rocky is in a Sweden prison due to his arrest following a physical altercation with a man on the streets of Stockholm. Rocky was also left to sleep on a mat with no blanket. The site points out that this is a violation of the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations treaty (signed by both Sweden and the U.S.), which grants foreign arrestees a visit from a U.S. Consulate official.

Most recently reporting that Swedish officials are aiming to keep ASAP Rocky detained for 2 weeks, new reports convey the harsh conditions the "L$D" creator is being held under. Apparently, when Rocky requested the meeting, the Consulate was denied access by Swedish authorities.

Lawyers for the entertainer appealed the decision to the appeals court which upheld it, and then to the Supreme Court, which refused to hear the case.

If convicted, Rocky faces up to six years behind bars.

A$AP Rocky's arrest has been upsetting for a variety of reasons.

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected his appeal, Stockholm daily Aftonbladet reported.

Officials from the United States consulate, who should have been allowed to see Meyers immediately after his arrest, were barred from seeing him for two days, sources with direct knowledge of Rocky's situation said.

Witnesses say that a woman stepped in an accused one of the men of grabbing her butt earlier, which is when Rocky and his crew started fighting the men.
