ASAP Rocky cancels his performances in July due to detention in Sweden

An online petition calling for the release of U.S. rapper A$AP Rocky, detained in Sweden suspected of assault after a street brawl, has gained more than 370,000 signatories in 24 hours. While speaking with Page Six, governor of the Swedish prison, Frederik Wallin, argued that inmates receive standard conditions. "He was treated then, and is treated now, correctly", Lilja told national broadcaster SVT.

According to a report from Swedish outlet Cultural News, translated by HNHHvia Google translate, Rocky's Swedish lawyer Henrik Olsson Lilj claims the 30-year-old rapper, who is now being detained in Stockholm, is doing a-okay despite reports he's being held in an "inhumane", "diseases ridden" facility with inedible food.

Rocky's manager John Ehmann described in a lengthy Instagram post the treatment Rocky has allegedly received since being arrested. If this is a violation of the Vienna Convention, he can not judge.

Following his arrest and detention in Sweden on an assault charge, A$AP Rocky's management has released a statement stating that all July tour dates and festival appearances scheduled for the rapper have been cancelled. "He does not know any other information in the TMZ article". Furthermore, insiders claimed there is a prisoner in the cell next to Rocky's who has "severe mental issues who slams his head against the concrete wall and hurls feces every which way".

The tensions stem from a TMZ report in which sources close to the MC's case told the news organization of feces tossed around by a neighboring inmate with mental issues, awful food, as well as having to sleep on a yoga mat, being fed only an apple daily and given dirty drinking water. For the first three days, ASAP Rocky was kept in a custody cell.
