Did Taylor Swift shade Scooter Braun during Amazon Prime Day concert?

One of the biggest online shopping days is only a few days away.

Fans are obsessing over one part of Taylor Swift's performance during the Amazon Prime Day concert on Wednesday where she appeared to shade Scooter Braun as part of their ongoing feud.

Much of what is on sale is kept a secret until the event, but you'll be able to browse the deals ahead of time on Amazon's app, the company says.

Twitch's Amazon Prime Day event has found its hosts.

"We can't wait to celebrate Prime Day with an extraordinary night of unforgettable performances, for members around the globe", said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, in a statement. To ensure you don't miss out on all that Amazon has to offer, the e-commerce giant has partnered up with various service providers where you can either get access to Prime services for free or at discounted prices.

Beyond sales and discounts, Twitch Sells Out viewers will also be shown some exclusive footage of upcoming games in 2019. And this year's doorbuster sales event will be more distracting than ever, as Amazon has decided to make it a two-day shopping extravaganza running through the end of Tuesday.

The results were a mixed bag.

The 2-day global shopping event will bring thousands of deals as well as offers for its customers.

While this proved that there may be limited short-term gains for investors, the long-term story is quite different.

But the retailer does promise to expand on last year's insane successful Prime Day-opposing One-Day sale with two distinct days of killer deals on items as diverse as furniture, indoor rugs, kitchen appliances, books, bedding, cookware, floorcare, sandals, toys, sporting goods, auto seats and strollers, and much more.

Amazon's Prime Day is about more than incremental gross merchandise value (GMV) and revenue, according to analyst John Blackledge at Cowen. Amazon's Biggest Sale of the year will begin on 15 July 2019 and continue for the next 48 hours. Prime Day drives strong Prime subscriber penetration, engagement across Amazon's ecosystem and reinforcement of Prime's value proposition and brand.
