Kanye West Wants Poor People to Live in "Star Wars" Housing

Kanye West Wants Poor People to Live in

As part of his Forbes cover story that landed earlier this week, Kanye West also took part in a video interview that dives into how he goes about designing new Yeezy sneaker silhouettes.

Among all the subjects mentioned in his very good interview with Forbes, Kanye West talked about a project that seems insane but is already well advanced.

The Tatooine scenes for Star Wars were shot in Tunisia. In his song "Gone", he at one point raps, "But if they ever flip sides like Anakin", and in "Guilt Trip", he sings, "Star Wars fur, yeah I'm rockin' Chewbacca". It can start with a previous shoe that we created that we're making a newer version of, or feelings of films and experiences that I grew up with", West said."We have a team of incredible designers. The concept designs of the homes have been described as "oblong and dozens of feet tall". "He tells me they could be used as living spaces for the homeless, perhaps sunk into the ground with light filtering in through the top".

"I would say [it's] like a minimal monastery", she says in the video, which shows off numerous mansion's large, sparsely decorated rooms.

Kim Kardashian-West shared on Twitter how proud she is of her husband.

While word that Jalil Peraza, Petra Kustrin, Nejc Škufca, and Vadik Marmeladov had joined the team and renderings of at least one potential project leaked to the public soon after, there's been little additional word on Yeezy Home or any of West's other architectural plans until now. "Yeezy is the Lamborghini of shoes". We can't wait to see how his housing project turns out.
