Mi A3, Mi A3 Lite Full Specs Leaked: Price, India Launch, Availability

Xiaomi's first Android One smartphones turned out to be a huge success, and the company plans to follow up with a super series up next. The upcoming Mi A3 will be the successor to last year's Mi A2.

Reports about the Mi A3 smartphone have been making rounds since past few months but now, the company has officially teased the arrival of the Mi A3 as well as Mi A3 Lite smartphones. The Mi CC9 sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. However, Xiaomi global spokesperson Donovan Sung sent out a tweet asking what they were looking forward to in the next generation of the Mi A series. If the rumors are true, the Mi A3 series will be powerful than the Mi CC9.

Coming exclusively from MySmartPrice, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC whereas the Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite will come with a Snapdragon 675.

Earlier, it was reported that the Mi A3 is being developed under the codename "bamboo_sprout" while the Lite model is referred to as "cosmos_sprout". The latest leak and the US FCC listing mention that the Mi A3 will draw power from the Snapdragon 665. There is no confirmation regarding those details or launch date either.


As per WinFuture, the Mi A3 might come equipped with a 6.0-inch full-HD+ (1080x2240 pixels ) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 409ppi and a waterdrop notch that will house a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Mi A3's launch seems imminent.

Even the rear also retains a triple-camera setup which is likely to be a 48MP f/1.79 main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP camera for depth effects. The Mi A3 will run on a 4,000mAh battery and rely on a USB-C port for charging. It's noticeably smaller than the notch used on the budget Mi A2 Lite previous year but still large enough to house one front-facing camera which, per the accompanying spec sheet, will offer a 32-megapixel resolution.
