Patrick will also be reuniting with his former co-star and director Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander William T. Riker on the previous series. Hopefully not just making wine-though, let's be honest, we'd definitely watch that show, too. Given the panel is an hour and a half, hopefully, they will have time to answer all of them. "Both things collide together and he's made choices that he's not necessarily feeling great about", executive producer Alex Kurtzman recently said about Picard. Stay tuned for more news, which is sure to be unveiled at the upcoming Comic-Con appearance. Section 31 was a major part of the second season and once Discovery split from it, Section 31 was left on the other side.

That changed earlier today though when Patrick Stewart took to Twitter to share a brand new poster for Star Trek: Picard.

On Wednesday, he tweeted an image of Picard standing in a field next to a dog, above the words "Star Trek Picard". Of course it's a good thing this show exists, especially now that I know there's a dog involved.

The series also stars Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Michelle Hurd.

In the newly released poster, Picard is seen overlooking his vineyards joined by a furry friend, leaving fans plenty of imagery to look over and think about through the following weeks.

While the hype and anticipation surrounding Star Wars are slowly building ahead of the December release of The Rise of Skywalker, there's another futuristic space series that sci-fi junkies can't wait to see for themselves.
