‘Stranger Things 3’ breaks viewership records on Netflix

The Netflix series which premiered its first season in 2016 left the audiences impressed with its thrilling story. The Stranger Things number is a total figure of household accounts (which is different from actual viewers) in four days, while When They See Us broke records by being the most watched each day since its premiere.

Not much is known about the numbers released by Netflix and TVLine notes that "their internal numbers can't be independently verified".

It also stated that a whopping "18.2 million have already finished the entire season", which consists of eight episodes.

That eclipses the previous claimed biggest opening weekend for a Netflix property, which was set by the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston-starring Murder Mystery, which was reportedly watched by 30.9 million accounts across its first post-release weekend.

The Stranger Things cast has earned an ice-cream cone or 40 million. When the next season does come, it will be accompanied by new system requirements, so make sure you're ready.

This kind of thing helps Netflix cement the show's status as its most beloved original property.

According to a Monday tweet from Netflix, more than 40 million household accounts have been watching the show since its new season debuted on July 4, and 18.2 million have already watched the whole season.

The show has been watched by more people than any other Netflix movie or series in its first four days.
