Super 30 earns Rs 11 crore on its first day

The film is based on the life of Patna-based mathematics wizard, Anand Kumar.Hrithik plays the underdog teacher in the film. The actor has gotten into the skin of mathematician Anand Kumar, who runs classes for Super 30, where he guarantees high success rate for students every year, and helps the underpriveleged kids pass their IIT exams, mostly with distinction.

Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan's latest film Super 30 opened to average reviews. The budget of the film is being said to be worth Rs 85 crore.

However, Super 30 will need to do exceptional business on its week days to be a success. The film was never expected to set the cash registers jingling on its opening day itself anyway, primary because of its content and the kind of audience it targets. The fact that the film worked in the metropolis, and especially in Mumbai and suburbs, but remained boring in most of the mass pockets is disappointing.

As per the updates by box office India, the movie is able to kick a good start, the collection figure of the first day stands between 11cr to 11.5cr. Sustaining and proving its mettle on weekdays crucial. "India business", trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Saturday about the film that hit the screens Friday.

The Vikas Bahl's directorial also stars Mrunal Thakur, Aditya Shrivastava and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. He also predicted that on Day 3, "Super 30" will score "big numbers" and that the weekend numbers will be up to Rs 50 crore.
