The Walking Dead: First Cinematic Film Announced

With Fear the Walking Dead now in the middle of its vastly improved fifth season, you had to wonder, what could the people involved with the show bring to San Diego Comic-Con to really get the fans excited?

The Hall H crowd responded to the heartfelt speech by giving Gurira a standing ovation. The 30-second teaser - which you can check out at the top of this post - simply features a helicopter flying towards a city skyline, while The Walking Dead's iconic theme song sets an ominous mood. "I'm very thankful for the experience I've had in ways I can't state right now", she said. "But this show is unbelievable and it carries on, and the 'TWD forever family' thing does not die, so don't be deleting my number, y'all!" "I'm proud that you guys love us enough to keep us on the air". Let us know in the comment section below! "Danai is a powerhouse of an actress". Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol) will now be the longest-serving cast members on the show (if they survive season 10). "I don't think I will lose my fandom", Calderon said. "I hope we explore it more". Gimple also joked that as many as 10 spinoffs were in the works about the "Walking Dead" universe. "Hopefully we land it, and hopefully, we'll give her a good send-off from The Walking Dead, where she's been such a major part for all these years". That considered, it shouldn't blindside Walking Dead fans to hear that Gurira is leaving.

Fans can see Gurira take her final turns as Michonne when The Walking Dead season 10 premieres on AMC on October 6. The third series will tell the story of the first generation of kids to grow up during the zombie apocalypse behind walls, where they never faced the epidemic up close.
