Hur Mi-jung Earns 3rd LPGA Title with Win in Scotland

Trying to follow her sister with a Ladies Scottish Open victory, Moriya Jutanugarn shot a 4-under 67 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead into the final round at The Renaissance Club.

After playing the first eight holes in 1-over par, Hur had four straight birdies from the ninth and also birdied Nos. Hur becomes the seventh South Korean to win an LPGA tour this season.

"It was really tough today with the rain but my caddie Gary is from Scotland and he helped me a lot on the course and he worked really well this week".

The win brings the 29-year-old's first LPGA title in five years.

Mi Hyang Lee, the 2017 victor, was fourth at 12 under after a 68. The wind wasn't up too badly when I finished, so it was not so bad.

Lee6, a newcomer to links golf, won the U.S. Women's Open in June in SC.

Asked when she felt she could go on and claim the win, she picked out the long 12th.

"Just another pretty solid day", she said.

Carly Booth, the 2012 victor, finished joint ninth after closing with a 71 for 274.

"I missed the cut at the British Open last week and changed my putter back to an old one, and you saw the results", she said.

"I imagine there will be a lot of support - I've been over here quite a lot and actually played "Royal" Alyth last Monday", she joked.

Mi Jung, visible for probably miles away even through the rain in a bright lime green rainsuit, didn't even look at the scoreboards so was unaware she was tied with three others at the turn. "I had two big numbers on my card and that really finished me".
