OnePlus names its TV as 'OnePlus TV,' Logo unveiled

Since then the company went to its fan base for help in naming the upcoming device and it looks like we finally have a victor - the OnePlus TV.

OnePlus TV is promised to offer 5G support and Artificial Intelligence. While specifications remain a mystery, a report suggests that the OnePlus TV would come with Jio streaming apps when launched in India.

OnePlus took to its Community Forum to confirm the branding of its upcoming smart TV lineup, saying that it's simple yet to the point.

OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau had announced in September a year ago that the company would be entering the smart TV segment in 2019. We'll have to wait and see what OnePlus brings to the table to differentiate itself from the herd.

OnePlus is rumoured to launch the OnePlus TV on September 26.

The forum thread also reveals the official logo for the OnePlus TV (pictured above), which consists of the OnePlus logo with the letters TV next to it.

OnePlus said it will keep its promise to award the winners of the "OnePlus TV: You Name It" contest and give an even bigger prize to the person who first named its new product the OnePlus TV.

The blog post reveals that the naming process was a laborious task. The company also wrote a detailed blog post to explain the name, new design and also what to expect from the new device. "Eventually, we chose to be true to our core values, but we are thankful for all the suggestions from you". There is the numeric one with the "+" sign, which is the company's native logo, alongside the word "TV".

We were inspired by classic geometric progression, which can be seen from so many classic art forms, such the ancient Hindu symbol, the mandala, and the famous ancient Greek temple, Heraion of Argos.
